I used to assume J.Crew was strictly for people who loved preppy clothing, but that misconception has definitely faded over the last couple of years. I’m constantly finding pieces I’d buy for myself, along with things I’d recommend to my mom, my aunts, and my friends—each of which has a completely different approach to shopping and personal style.

For example, the J.Crew rollneck sweaters feel truly universal. Several editors on our team, all with distinct aesthetics, own one in various colors. The Cashmere Shop is another section I love, with a wide range of cashmere sweaters that work for just about anyone. I wear mine nonstop in the fall and winter, and even keep one in my bag on warmer days in the spring and summer when the A/C is blasting in restaurants. They’ve become some of the best investment pieces in my wardrobe.
